National Bee Unit |
Like all other living creatures, bees have their own
specific diseases and parasites. To keep our bees
healthy, beekeepers should avail themselves of every
opportunity to learn to recognise the symptoms of the
diseases and the correct actions they should take.
Most County Associations organise courses on disease
recognition and in addition give demonstrations of
treatments in their Branch apiaries.
In addition the Central Science Laboratory (CSL)
produces well illustrated booklets, which can be
obtained through your County Association or downloaded
from the CSL website.
