BEGINNERS COURSES
VENUE: UPLOWMAN VILLAGE
HALL, TIVERTON
Tiverton Branch are running a Beginners
Course at Uplowman Village Hall, Tiverton,
starting at 7.30pm on Wednesday 10th October.
There will be 10 sessions, 5 before Christmas
and 5 in the New Year.
The course will cover:
- A general introduction
- The colony - queens, workers & drones
- The hive & its components
- The history & origins of bees and hives
- The beekeeping year
- Swarms, their causes & prevention
- Queen rearing
- Pests & diseases
- Bee plants & hive products
